Rachana is a Human Rights lawyer and a housing and land rights activist who has been working with urban poor communities, labor and women’s rights activists, and human rights defenders for the past eight years. Rachana strongly believes in the freedom of expression and the power of social media to bring about positive change in the lives of the most vulnerable people in Cambodia. She blogs and Tweets prolifically about social justice issues. Currently, Rachana is a Programme Officer with ActionAid Cambodia where she has been working closely with land and resource poor communities and on the Safe Cities Campaign to increase awareness of safety for women in urban areas. Rachana completed her Masters in Development Studies from the City University of Hong Kong and LLB from Royal University of Law and Economics.
